The 7th Annual Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Tennis Classic took place on September 13, bringing together athletes, celebrities and supporters for a fun-filled day of tennis and philanthropy. A sold-out crowd gathered at Banner House at T Bar M in North Dallas to enjoy lively competition on the court, where players entertained with both skillful shots, fun games and lighthearted banter.
This year’s event welcomed back veteran players like two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, actor Boris Kodjoe and former World Top 10 CoCo Vandeweghe, while also introducing former NBA All-Stars Joakim Noah and Devin Harris, Texas Ranger Hall of Famer Elvis Andrus and Dude Perfect founder Coby Cotton.
Presented by Chime, the event again featured an exhibition-style show court with fun doubles matches, but this time around the Foundation integrated live music, tennis games and even a basketball hoop during changeovers. The new format was a success, and the crowd loved the event’s fast-paced style.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and attendees, this year’s Tennis Classic was a huge success in continuing the Foundation’s legacy of giving back to the North Texas community.
